"[Art is] a powerful tool to promote change in contemporary thinking and will undoubtedly spark strategies for confronting a post-Corona world."
What are you working on?
Currently finishing up work on my author/illustrator picture book debut, I'm a Hare, So There!, with HMH to be released in 2021, as well as my own personal projects for sanity: I post every day on Instagram.
Has your work shifted in response to the pandemic? How?
I've been laid-off from the bookstore - hopefully temporarily - but otherwise I'm able to continue my work from home.
What is the role that art can play in helping us confront our new reality?
Any art form provides an emotional as well as a creative outlet for the maker and when shared may provide comfort, awareness, escape, etc. It's a powerful tool to promote change in contemporary thinking and will undoubtedly spark strategies for confronting a post-Corona world.
